Prem Nazir, whose real name was Abdul Khader made his acting debut in the Malayalam film named Marumalal which was released on May 9th, 1952.

 That movie was produced by Paul Kallungal under the banner of M. P. Productions and directed by M. K. Chari.

 In his debut film, Prem Nazir is credited by his real name Abdul Khader. It was on the sets of his second film Visappinte Vili that he was renamed Prem Nazir by Thikkurussi Sukumaran Nair.
