First Movie of Jayalalitha with MGR

South Actress Jayalalitha starred in 28 box-office hit films with M.G. Ramachandran ( MGR) between 1965 and 1973.

Her first movie with MGR was Aayirathil Oruvan which was released on 9th July 1965.

This Tamil action adventure film was produced and directed by B.R.Panthulu. Jayalalitha played the lead role with MGR. This film was a commercial success and ran for over 100 days.

Her last film with  MGR was Pattikattu Ponniya which was released in 1973.
