South Actress Jothika who predominantly acted in Tamil films, made her cinema acting debut in Bollywood.

 Jothika's first movie was Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, which was released on 27th November 1998.

This Hindi romantic film was direted by Priyadarshan and music was composed by A.R.Rahman.

 Akshaye Khanna and Jothika played the lead roles in this movie. This movie was not successful commercially.
