Veteran South Indian film director K. Balachander had directed over 100 films in his career.

 Paarthale Paravasam is the 100th film to be directed by K.Balachander, who is know in the film circles as ‘Iyakkunar Sigaram’ (a peak among directors).

This movie produced by Balachander's home banner Kavithalayaa Productions,  was released on 14th November 2001. It starred Madhavan and Simran in lead roles.

The music for this film was composed by A.R.Rahman.
